On October 14, 2017, the highest leaders of ESIA, together with few Senior Officers, attended a very important event on the island of Malta, and to the delivery of a nomination on behalf of ESIA to the President of the Republic of Malta.
In the presence of Chief Executive Department Mr Pietro Passariello, the Chief of Staff Mr Orazio Mezzetti and of the highest leaders of the organisation, the first solemn oath of the flag was made by some Senior Officers. The ceremony, coordinated by the ESIA referent in Malta, Mr. Philip M. Chircop, also saw the participation of some prominent personalities in the Maltese political landscape, such as the On. Antony Agius Decelius, Secretary of the Parliament and of the Ministry of Family and Social Solidarity, and the Mayor of Santa Venera Dr. Stephen Sultana, as well as the President of the Republic of Malta, Ms Maria Louise Coleiro Preca, who has been awarded a Diploma of Designation of “Diplomatic Council Member” of ESIA – Malta as a corollary to the ceremony .
The event, organised with and thanks to the valid support of NGO Fondazzjoni Nanniet Malta, saw, alongside the official program, the participation in the solemn Mass at the Church of St Joseph, the performance of the musical band of the Scouts of Santa Venera, and the musical performance of local artists and young activists, to cheer the evening. The President of Fondazzjoni, Mr. Philip M. Chircop, also received the task of facilitating and planning future workshops on the island.
